onscious Evolution Understanding Extrasensory Abilities In Everyday Life - Janet Lee Mitchell, Ph.D.
Janet Lee Mitchell who held a doctorate in Experimental Cognition and began her research into paranormal or parapsychology in the mid-1960s. In this work entitled "Conscious Evolution" (as published in 1989), the author explains in details of the "blocks" that are holding us back from further progress along the conscious evolution, including Darwin and Freud theories, religions, materialistic consumerism, and our failure to acknowledge "scientifically verified" extraordinary abilities.
This book doesn't feel like a strict scientific in nature, but more to a personal nature where the author gives discussion about the blocks and resistances that we oftentimes endured when we are faced with exploring our potentials. In other words, the author is giving us insights on the limitations we constantly and unconsciously absorbed, but knowing those limitations can we achieve to break the barriers and give our potentials a full expression.
This book is relatively short with 200 pages and it is an easy reading, and loaded with insights and discussion on the subject of resistances and psychological blocks that we regularly encountered when we want to grow spiritually. The author has made a point that there is no difference between a spiritual growth and a conscious evolution as both requires a need to seek for a greater expression and we as a human race are instruments of that expression.
