Having moved from California to New England, Vanessa Forbes begins attending a private school, but soon learns that the sinister place is trying to take over her mind.

The authors of the spine-tinglers Madonna and The Spell now introduce The School--a relic of a gracious but grisly past, now a home for girls who have no place to go. Vanessa feels something is wrong, as if the school itself is filling her head with insane, revolting ideas, forcing her to perform dark acts against her will.
