The Best of the Rip Off Press, Vol. II: The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers - Gilbert Shelton

A collection of underground comic strips featuring Gilbert Shelton’s Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, the countercultural trio of Phineas, Fat Freddy and Freewheelin’ Franklin. Their adventures revolve around getting high, dodging the law, surviving everyday disasters and poking fun at authority and conventional American life. The book also includes strips featuring Fat Freddy’s Cat, whose chaotic antics provide a parallel stream of anarchic humour. Published by Rip Off Press, this edition dates to 1981 and collects material from one of the defining series of the American underground comix movement.
