Published in 1975, this audio cassette accompanies the 1972 TV series for those learning Italian.

The BBC produced many excellent language courses and this is certainly the best of those which I followed. It owes a lot to the stories which run through the series, which sneaks in many biblical and other religious references! Some significant aspects of Italian history and culture are introduced in a light-hearted fashion (Dante, Garibaldi, Verdi etc).
