Putrid Temple - Hydragrammadion

Putrid Temple's Hydragrammadion is a crushing slab of dark, occult-infused heaviness from Seattle, delivering four tracks that feel dredged from some forgotten subterranean ritual. Originally recorded during the band's "Unholiest" sessions in November 2018 and released in 2019 through Expansion Abyss, the EP moves through thick, oppressive riffs, cavernous atmosphere and a sense of looming dread that rarely lets up. From the ominous opening of “Xaosophic Nexion” through the title track and “Scorned Progeny,” the band builds a sound that is equal parts doom, death metal and ritualistic darkness.
