THE JACKASS ISSUE!! August 2002’s Big Brother features Dan Drehobl, Slam City Jam, Jim Bates, and The Smiths/Morrissey Convention, with plenty of skateboarding spread through the issue via the regular skatepark and product reviews, video reviews, Potpourri, Goddamn AMs, Skatedolls and CD reviews. The Slam City Jam feature takes a look at the Canadian contest and its clash with the American skate scene, while the Jim Bates piece digs into one of the magazine’s more unusual characters.

The issue also includes Non Phixion, Mike V. & The Rats and an Afterlife: Mike McGill feature, bringing together skate history, contemporary skating and the magazine’s music coverage. And then there’s the cover feature, with Big Brother sending Johnny Knoxville at a massive rail, because apparently simply photographing someone skating it wasn’t enough.
