The issue also digs into the 1998 Big Brother Video Awards, with plenty of skating coverage spread through the regular departments, skate flicks, Goddamn AMs, book, video and CD reviews.

The magazine’s stranger side is represented by Burn, Tokyo, Burn, Turn, Tokyo, Turn, Turbonegro, Underworld and Bracket, keeping the music and culture coverage firmly in Big Brother territory. With its huge street-skating photo spread, New Zealand adventure and a particularly strong collection of side features, this is a very late-’90s Big Brother issue, right in that sweet spot between serious skate coverage and complete editorial chaos.
