Concrete Wave Magazine, founded in 2002 by Michael Brooke, was a Canadian skateboarding publication known for covering all styles of skating—street, pool, freestyle, longboarding, and downhill. Unlike other skate mags, it focused on community, history, and positivity, giving a voice to lesser-covered scenes and older generations of skaters. The magazine featured global stories, in-depth interviews, and gear reviews, especially for longboard and downhill riders. It ran until the late 2010s, leaving a legacy as an inclusive, thoughtful voice in skateboarding media.
