Ted McKeever’s Eddy Current is a dark, surreal comic series presented as an “original 12 hour series” by Atomeka, collected across three companion volumes. The story follows Eddy Current, a psychotic protagonist breaking out of Dum Dum Asylum and into the chaotic streets of Chad City, with the first instalment, “6:00 PM,” setting the series in motion. The pages combine dense prose with stark black-and-white sequential artwork, creating a strange, dystopian world packed with violence, paranoia and warped humour.

The edition includes an introduction by Dave Gibbons and a libretto by Ted McKeever and Dave Gibbons. The three volumes continue McKeever’s distinctive vision of Eddy Current, with the artwork shifting between claustrophobic institutional settings, bizarre characters and heavily stylised cityscapes. An unusual and ambitious piece of alternative comics from McKeever, Eddy Current sits firmly in the darker, more experimental end of the medium.

Volume 1 -  This groundbreaking series will be represented in a new, handy digest format with each book featuring an introduction by Dave Gibbons. There is also a short strip drawn by Dave as a collaboration between himself and Ted McKeever entitled "Libretto.

Volume 2 - Eddy has escaped the clutches of those that wished to dissect him, thinking that was the way to truly understand the Almighty One who had come into their midst. But his escape was incomplete. They still have his fusion suit. Can Eddy survive the night without it? No, he can't. He is going to run into Vinnie and his buddy, whatsisname, who are going to kill him. Hold on. What are we going to put in Book 3? This volume also includes the entire last issue of The Amazing Broccoli 25! Yeah, he dies too (or was he just canceled?). Cover by Ted McKeever and Chris Chuckry.

Volume 3 - 1st printing. By Ted McKeever. Counting down the last four hours until Eddy has to be back at the asylum. 2 AM to 5 AM. Four hours to save the world. If everyone is out to be the Savior of Mankind, why are they all hell-bent on killing each other? Doom, gloom, destruction, death... and Mothers for the Betterment of Humankind. Are you sure you wanna read this?! Okay, don't say we didn't warn you, it isn't pretty. And yes, we do answer the question "does Edward get back to the asylum by 6 AM?" But unfortunately the issue of what Lydia sees in Reggie is not. Cover by Ted McKeever and Chris Chuckry.
