Fuknoath Zine #9 – Rain, Rants & Razorblades

This issue of Fuknoath comes in hot and bitter, plastered with attitude and fronted by a grimy photo of Callum Paul switch standing on the big Sydney Hubba in the rain. The caption doesn’t hold back either—calling out Callum as a “debasing” force in the mag and throwing him under the bus for being “#mostoverratedskater.” Classic Fuknoath—no punches pulled, no sacred cows.

The contents are a cocktail of poetry, nonsense, and brutal truths. It kicks off with “Blah Blah”, likely the editorial soapbox full of venom and confession. Nathan Jackson drops his Top 3’s, while Davo’s Poetry Corner returns with “Chossword”, probably less Wordsworth and more word vomit.

“Dudelers” by Andy Murphy provides visual flair (or visual filth), and Dustin Dollin gets the “Job Stoppers” treatment—surely a dive into his long, glorious mess of a skate career. Shane Azar shows up in “Tuff Stuff,” likely recounting injury, ego, or some DIY madness.

Bo Reid & the Rainchasers sounds like a saga of sessions through storms, true to the issue’s soaking aesthetic. The Pictorial section drops in midway, a visual slap of whatever didn't get censored.

Then there's Scotty Standley with “Acid Sword Fights” (interpret that however you want), and Chris Middlebrook featured in the “Comin’ Up” slot. BMX gets a cameo with Mike Martin in “Mondo BMX Maneuver,” and Gabriel Summers closes out the issue with “The Truth”—a fitting end for a mag that thrives on raw honesty, slander, and gnarly pride.

As always, Fuknoath #9 is soaked in equal parts satire, scene love, and savage humor—a middle finger to polish, but a heart still beating for skateboarding in its grimiest, most honest form.
