Bleach is the 1989 debut studio album by Nirvana, originally released on the independent label Sub Pop. Recorded on a modest budget, the album captures the band's raw, heavy early sound, drawing heavily from punk, metal and the emerging Seattle grunge scene. Featuring standout tracks such as "About a Girl," "Negative Creep," "School" and "Blew," Bleach introduced the songwriting of Kurt Cobain before the band's global breakthrough.
