Pinhead Music: The Underground Sights and Sounds of Keyser, West Virginia
Pinhead Music: The Underground Sights and Sounds of Keyser, West Virginia. A zine covering the history of Keyser's (pop. 6,000) underground music scene from the early-1980s to the present.
A largely unheralded and obscure piece of the American Underground, despite the high volume of great music produced by a small group of talented musicians, ranging from psych-punk, industrial, skewed pop, and beyond.
This zine is comprised of a long interview with Bunk Nesbit, player in many of the bands and head of the Red Nail Music label, who archives all of the music via Bandcamp (all releases are out of print on physical media).
There's also an interview with Craig Smith, who made the underground super 8 short Psychedelic Glue Sniffin' Hillbillies in Keyser.
