Pink Flamingos is John Waters’ infamous 1972 screenplay, following Babs Johnson as she fights to retain her self-proclaimed title as the “Filthiest Person Alive” against rivals Connie and Raymond Marble. Set against a deliberately grotesque vision of Baltimore, the screenplay embraces Waters’ taste for the outrageous, featuring baby-stealing, bizarre sexual exploits, animal cruelty and the film’s notorious climactic sequence.
