Out Of Order is a rough-edged Australian skate video released in 2001 by Play Australian Skateboards, capturing the chaotic energy of early-2000s street skating through grainy filming, unpredictable spots and pure DIY momentum. Filmed by Tim Dunn and Andrew Mapstone for MD Productions, the video feels deeply connected to the Australian skate scene of the era, where local crews built full-length videos from endless street missions, VHS tapes and sessions held together by bruises, late nights and bad decisions. Even the warped dictionary-style definition of “play” printed on the cover sets the tone perfectly: restless, noisy and slightly unhinged.

Featuring skaters including Tristan Walker, Gareth Sterh, Mike Denovan, Anthony Mapstose, Chey Ataria, Scottie Cameron, Jesse Mailing and Dustin “Spawn” Dollun, Out Of Order leans heavily into raw street footage and the loose team-video atmosphere that made independent Australian skate DVDs feel so alive. The whole thing carries that dusty skate-shop energy where every slam, sketchy make and blurry VX shot feels authentic to the time and place it was filmed. Released out of Camberwell, Victoria, the video now plays like a time capsule from an era when Australian skateboarding was growing fast but still completely underground and self-made.
