In this editor's note from Prohibited magazine, Rome Torti reflects on the challenges of creating a publication that lives up to the legacy of past skate mags, acknowledging that some gaps in content are part of the process of carving a new path. Rather than following the formula of traditional skateboarding magazines, Prohibited is intentionally trying something different—fresher, more original, and open to the critical eyes of its readers.

The second issue marks a major step forward, expanding by 20 pages—something the team didn’t expect so soon. It's packed with striking photos showcasing the talent of Australia’s best skateboarders, staying true to their commitment to focus solely on the Australia and New Zealand skate scenes. While they respect the global skate community, their priority remains on building and documenting what’s happening locally.

Torti closes the note with a dedication to Sandy Hale and offers heartfelt support to Josh, underscoring the close-knit, supportive nature of the skateboarding community behind the magazine.
