Raw V2N1

RAW Vol. 2 No. 1, published in 1989, features an international lineup of alternative and underground comics, edited by Art Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly. The issue includes Charles Burns’ Teen Plague, Kim Deitch’s Tom DeHaven 50’s Commie Nostalgia, Jacques Tardi’s Eating Disorders in Central France, Ben Katchor’s The Purpose of Language, and a new chapter of Spiegelman’s Maus.

Also featured are Gary Panter, Ever Meulen, Josh Greene, Drew Friedman, Mark Newgarden, and Joost Swarte. Highlights include Friedman and Newgarden’s Reds, Swarte’s The Gurley Family, and Spiegelman’s Dead Dick. A sharp mix of comics and illustration from some of the most distinctive voices working in alternative comics at the time.

Shows some minor wear to cover and corners.
