Scrapbook 1 - Alex Smith

Lower is a comic created, written and illustrated by Alex Smith. The story follows a dark descent into a bleak and surreal world, broken promises and thoughts of suicide.

The book is dedicated to Joe Odukoya, with special thanks given to Brendan Haldane and Michael “Technomage” for their digital and technical support.

Written and illustrated entirely by Smith, Lower combines stark black-and-white comic panels with a rough, expressive drawing style and a deliberately grim atmosphere. A dark, personal and uncompromising piece of underground comics.
