This issue kicks off with some slick design talk in “Intro: De Stijl” before hitting the road for “Hotspot,” where the crew tears all the way down to Bunbury with a mix of mission vibes and mayhem. “Backchat” keeps things weird, starting with a bee and Yanna’s face, while Darren Kirby brings the noise in “Metal Up Your Arse,” blending fast skating with loud music. “The Pit” marks the end of an era, closing a chapter on one of the scene’s rawest spots.
The chaos keeps rolling with the Xtreme Games where Hugh Jair goes full-send, and “Mixed Media” drops a little creative ethos between the hammer throwing. SDS keeps it burning with their Hellfire comp, and across the ditch, “Madness Strikes Back” drops in on Aotearoa's scene. Sean Holland steps into the frame with some serious Cube gleaming, and Tassie gets a minute of fame in “Rapture.” Closing it out, the “Focus” crew—Tom Cuthbertson, Steven ‘Shaka’ Wereta, and Bjorn Johnston—holds it down, and “Shutter Speed 1000” gets technical with the lens work. Plus, the 2000 Board Buyer’s Guide pull-out for all your setup needs.
