Tattoo Flash #31 is framed like a mini museum of skin art, built around themed “exhibit halls” and spotlight galleries from a small crew of featured artists. The issue opens with Mail Mezzanine, then steps into Artist Gallery One with Minneapolis guest artist David Dettloff, whose work leans into oriental-influenced designs. Exhibit Hall A: Hero Worship focuses on iconic figures and bold, heroic imagery, while Exhibit Hall B: Old-School Pinups leans into classic sex-kitten flash. Artist Gallery Two highlights Southern California artist Steven Schultz, whose pieces mix classical feel with daring, energetic compositions, before Exhibit Hall C: Canine Companions runs a full spread of dog-themed flash. A tattoo photo contest, a broad Flash Gallery, and Artist Gallery Three with Washington-based Aarron Laidig round out the visual content, with a Tattoo Artist Directory and Future Ink teasing more work to come.
