The Mechanism of Mind - Edward de Bono

Edward de Bono explores how the mind organises information into patterns and how those patterns shape perception, thought and problem-solving. He argues that the mind is not simply a passive information processor, but an active system that forms familiar patterns which can limit the ways we approach a problem. The book examines how understanding these mental mechanisms can help people break habitual thinking, generate alternatives and develop more creative approaches to reasoning. It presents ideas that underpin de Bono’s later work on lateral thinking.
