American Music - Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz’s photographic portrait of American music, featuring more than 100 images of musicians and the places that shaped their lives and work. From B.B. King, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson to Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Dr. Dre and Etta James, Leibovitz travels from Mississippi Delta juke joints to Texas honky-tonks and New Orleans jazz clubs. Includes commentary by Leibovitz, essays by musicians including Patti Smith, Rosanne Cash and Beck, and biographical sketches of the artists. Published in 2003, this is a substantial photographic tribute to the people and places behind American music.
